Gaming. I does it.

FYI, this is a feed of relevant blog posts.

[This section will be a little tiny weeny mini blogglet about my progress with MW2.]

A new convert to console gaming , I’m currently playing MW2 along with…well, let’s face it, almost everybody. Having never owned a console in my life until recently, I’d been saving up for a new rig but I really couldn’t afford anything remotely respectable so I gave up and admited that the 360 was where it was at in terms of the price-performance sweet spot.

So the big question for me at the moment is thus: I have finally ranked up to 70, the final rank in the mutliplayer system. This means I’ve unlocked all the guns which is awesome and provides for variation. I now have the option of prestige mode which involves giving up all unlocks in return for potential respect. Starting from the bottom again would be quite a lot of hard work…

As it turns out, the decision took no effort whatsoever – as soon as the option was available I took it without thinking. So, starting out again from the bottom it is – suprising how much easier it is to rank up second time around though! This week I discovered that one of the default classes has a quality combination of Marathon (unlimited sprint perk), Lightweight (Move faster perk) and a .44 Magnum & tactical knife as a secondary weapon. Unbelievable how many kills I’ve gotten from run-run-run-jumpy-stabby tactics. Easy and humiliating, I love it.

Blademaster Title

[This section will become a sub-section of reminiscing about when I thought tragic old games were awesome. The sort of 'when was I playing this? What music was I listening to? How does it compare to modern games?' etc. bit.]
