Fran, Rach and I were driving to Morrisons to get stuff for baking (we made awesome brownies we we munched at the Minster Carol Service) and we were listening to the 3rd Radio 1 Live Lounge album. Some of it was a bit hit and miss but there easily the stand out track was this cover of a favourite from first year. Listen to the end.
I can’t quite describe the special warm place I have in my heart for pretty much everything on Now 34. Straight out of 1996 – that’s 13 years ago, you’ve probably had a conversation with someone who wasn’t born then – this was surely a golden age of music. Possibly. However, this lowly compilation can lay claim to such classics as ‘Mysterious Girl’, ‘Wannabe’ and ‘Ooh Aah…Just a little bit’ – obviously the musical standards of our time.
Like a fever? Not only do I love it when a plan comes together, but even more so when people see the vision. When you find something which you think is pretty neat which other people would appreciate, how satisfying is it when they listen and agree? Pretty awesome. So I changed the title, largely to make it a bit of a geeky reference to a Lemon Jelly song on their Lost Horizons Album. In fact I just wanted to play with adding links to see how it works.
